Books, books, books...

Evan and I have recently noticed that Chloe seems to be really into books these days. When deciding on what toys to play with, she pulls her books out first passing over talking dolls and rolling, singing turtles. Who would have thought? Her favorite book is currently "10 Kisses", perhaps because it is the biggest in size? She actually turns the pages, points to the pictures, and occasionally says "baby".

Currently, the best indicator of a child's success in reading is the number of books they own. Chloe's on her way. Perhaps I'll have time for a trip to Powells this weekend.

After Chloe read her new 5 puppies book with me, she sat down and opened the book to the only pages that had no puppies. She looked at the pages and began sobbing. The only thing I could think is that she wanted the puupies. So we had to read the story and find the puppies one more time. I can't believe she is only 10 months old!
